About the Compute Standards Council
The Compute Standards Council (CSC) aims to create and implement industry-wide standards for testing the performance of varied compute environments and accurately describing their capabilities. We assert these standards will simplify and optimize the acquisition and trading of compute resources thus accelerating and de-risking further AI investment and innovation.
Value Proposition
Compute markets will expand through greater accessibility, compute liquidity, pricing transparency, innovation, and a foundation of trustworthiness and quality, enabled through common and explainable standards for the definition of compute.

Those producing compute solutions will have a clear mechanism for differentiating, communicating, and market pricing their offerings.
About Us
The CSC was established in 2025 in response to the growing need for a transparent and efficient exchange of compute, specific GPU-based solutions. Formed at the request of customers of Compute Exchange, the council was conceptualized to drive consistency and transparency into the critical compute market. With the global AI market poised to be $1 trillion by 2028, just half of the very mature oil market, there was a clear and urgent need to have an organization overseeing the measurement, metrics, and basic trading devices of the industry.
The Standards
We launched with a preliminary v1.0 standard to elicit conversation and engage those that value a future where AI can thrive. It exposes a baseline for benchmarks and a simple taxonomy. We invite industry leaders on all sides of AI development to help us shape the next version. Contact us to get started!
